Sorry Phil, that was the info I got from MaxOverdrive out here in Richmond (who doesn't want to share where he gets LHD LWB GenII headlights for $200). I've been told by the local JDM enthusiasts here that BC does enforce the LHD headlight issue if you get inspected. It's the main reason that Skyline imports for BC are all but stopped right now: there's no North American equivalent left-right flipped bulbs to use.
Torquemonster, I suspect that TrekkerImports fixed yours pre-sale. The problem is that LHD vehicles have a lower aimed left-beam and a higher-aimed right beam, to avoid blinding oncoming drivers yet still illuminate the shoulder well. If you reverse that like it is on a RHD... well you get the idea. From what I've gathered here on the 'net, the aim is well beyond what you can adjust with the screw-adjusters.
