Just a thought on my part but maybe we could make some changes to the wire to make it better and easier to use. I know there has been a drop in trafic here of late and maybe we could make some suggestions on how to make it better?

My ideas are really only for the Toyota section but others could chime in:
-organize the vehicles by vintage; basicly early truck and runners from first 4x4s-95 and 95-04 etc. Really the runners and the trucks of those vintages all have so much in common that they should be in the same catagory. People would get faster responses to their questions and more relevant info would be easily seen.
-tune up the search. IDK why but if I do a search I get pretty much every post ever made.
-a general OT catagory. Nothing really toyota specific is talked about here other then the odd time.

Hows about a "member journal" section?
It's basically a section where each thread is someone going in depth on their ride. You can post the beginning of your ride, picture progress, mods, parts, carnage!!!
Instead of a member trucks section with one picture, or a "post your ride" thread.
Just my penney's worth tho...

I forgot to add, what about some updates to the color schemes and web design?
I've been looking at the 4x4wire gear shop and how much of the money goes to 4x4wire?
A coffee mug $11.00 plus $5.00 shipping.... c'mon
I say Spice up the logo, find a better distributor with lower prices, and start a donation program with member incentives based on donation level!! maybe even a raffle or give away something every month. ie: something from a sponsored website or vendor!

Have a choice based Supporter fee per year....if you want to become a supporter you can...if you dont, you dont have to....supporters get their own section that only they can access...just my .02....on another forum I am on and works great.

And I agree...the post your rig section is awesome...the one thats on here now is VERY outdated and not kept up with new pics/rigs..etc.....its like they are with updating it.

I don't know if it can be done, but I don't like having to upload my pic to a website, then use the codes from that to post here. It sounds too complicating for me so I haven't tried posting any pic. So maybe wire could make posting images easyer somehow, like being able to attach image files/video files to the posts.

So have any of you geek types PM'd the admin (any 'contact us' link on any page will do) to offer your assistance?

I'm not geeky like some of you guys, and I think he wouldn't mind some help-- has a regular job like the rest of us aside from this place.

Some things are in the works; this little factor called 'Time' makes the going slow.

I've already pointed to this thread and at least two others to Admin. Seems like it's only the Yota crowd saying anything at this point, aside from the 'search' feature being groused about.

Just lettin' you know you're not being ignored.

What Margie said..........

We do have some things in the works, but I cannot do it all on my own. Recently some of our Staff have volunteered to pick up things so we can implement changes. The changes we have planned are inline with the suggestions you've made in this thread.

I'll say it again (as I did in the post 10 or so days ago). If anyone has technical skills, primarily html, and wants to help out, let me know - we'd love the help!

Body Damage is Cool
I think if when searching the default search period was set to
"Older than | 1 | | Day(s) |"

instead of the default being
"Newer than | 1 | | Week(s) |"

I'd be a much happier search-er

I don't think I've ever had to search for anything newer than a week old.
