I'd be carefull about spraying water directl into the intake. For one thing, everything up to the AFM, which is usually on top of the air filter has to be intact and sealed for the engine to still run. Another, you don't really want water getting into hte AFM as it could corrode the electronics inside and then you'd have problems.

I don't know about the wisdom of using water verses something like seafoam, but I'd still just use a vacuum hose and meter the amount getting in.

The last time I did this, I created so much smoke, everyone thought my garage was on fire. I'd like to do it again, but I don't want a visit from the local FD.
