Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have gotten the chance to buy another tropper, im not certain about the year but it has a 2.6L and is automatic. The ride is very clean, but has some kind of motor problem, but what im really wondering is how good the automatic trans in this thing will hold up. I have nothing as far as knowlege on these trans, any one with some input. jayson

I drive my trooper daily (typically 60-100 miles round trip) with a little off-roading thrown in for good measure (nothing too crazy). So far the transmission is holding up great.

This trans should bolt up to a 2.3L correct. The engine in this prodject is in so many pieces I think I may just stick my motor in this thing.

Yes. If it fits the 2.6, it should fit the 2.3 as well. If you decide you don't want to use it afterall, I'll give you $200 for the bellhousing, torque convertor, and flex plate. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />
