Does anybody know where I can get two new pulleys for my 89? I have tried everywhere local for me and nothing. The dealership (Dodge)can still get them for $76 apiece. These are the pulleys that guide and put tension on the belt that goes around the alternator. Thanks

I'm trying to find them also.... the local dealer tells me that the pulleys are not available. The $75 quote sounds like it includes both pulleys and the mounting bracket assembly.

Sparkem (I think) found a similar pulley at NAPA and made it fit with the use of a washer as a spacer.... nothing wrong with that. Actually, any idler pulley of similar diameter that has a bearing designed for use as an automotive idler should work if it's aligned properly and of sufficient width.... there's nothing special about the OE design.

That is just the pulleys. I replaced mine about 2 years ago. Got them from a dodge dealer- cost over a 100 total then.

I got 2 from a Dodge Dealer a couple years back for $50 each. I went to Advance auto and my friend who worked there started pulling pulleys off of the shelf until we found one very close to the Mitsu one. All it needed was a washer to fit. It had sealed bearings too, I have no idea what car it was for or what brand or part number, but it worked. I do remember it was only like $15-20.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I'll try one of the mitsu dealers on Saturday and if that doesn't work out I'll match it as close as possible. I found one that is real close for $50 apiece.

They call it a Conditional Inter. You need two.
The part number is from my parts catalog. (MD102451)

The Mitsu part No is (I thought) MD308882, least thats the part no on the box when I bought one a couple years back.

I found out that these are originally made by Koyo their part no is PU159026RR1HY. I even contacted Koyo in USA a while back (posted on here) but the guys @ Koyo never came thro'.

I've had problems with belt squeal recently, gone thro' a few belts this year, so I've just emailed HERE 14.56 euros each see if they will supply to the UK

Must be cheaper than the ú50+tax over here (thats about $100+tax for you guys)

The "Conditional" reference in the description means that it's a new part #, superceding an older number..... or so I'm told by a Mitsu parts counterman.
