They are most certainly available in 4.56 from the dealer as I purchased a brand new one and retrofitted to my 85 pickup a while back.

Not sure what vehicles came with 4.56 ratio but here are the Toyota part #s for the complete third members;
- 4.56 ratio -> #41110-3D010
- 4.30 ratio -> #41110-3D080
- 4.10 ratio -> #41110-3D030

How many $ for the 4.56?
Thanks

I paid around $780 for a new elocker third from the Toyota dealer a while back. List is around $1200, most dealers will do 25-30% off of list if you get to know them.

If you can work with the 4.56 ratio its not a bad deal when compared to something like an ARB where you are looking at $800 or more just for the ARB carrier and compressor, then you have regearing and labor costs on top of that. (and with the ARB probably at least one teardown every few years to fix leaky o-rings..at least thats been my experience)

The elocker third is complete with brand new factory gears already setup by Toyota.

have any of you heard of problems fitting an elocker into the front with an SAS?

Roll Me Over
I think something hits the leafs spring.
Most people use the high pinion e-locker from an FJ80, because the gears are stronger as well (reverse rotation)

see this link: Inchworm 3rds

They will set up the gears up to 5.29's for you... good chunk of change though...
Note that you will have to modify your axle housing...

It looks like going to 4.88 is a regear.

Jim @ inchworm did the diffs on my 1981. I was happy with the results.

I need 4.56 for my current setup - moderate lift SAS (33's) - I paid $450 for my toyota e-locker 3rd locally, had I known that I could buy at a dealer for under $800 or so, I really would have considered that option.
I'm assuming a regear is going to cost $300-$400, assuming that I don't do it myself..Regearing is something I've avoided so far...

IDK why anyone buys ARB when they can get an e-locker made by toyota for the same price or even less. Just the no air hoses alone makes it worth while.
