i used timkin or something for the seal from auto zone it was the same brand as the bearings i replaced for good mesure i like to do a prodject once and correctly, i dont have a problem doing something over its jsut that i dont have my own press and to chissle off the bearing again is not my idea of fun.. like i said i followd the service manual wich says hammer and chissle to take off bearing and the spacer .. its such a pain i couldnt get my air hammer to do any thing to it and i had to end up grinding it off with a carbide bit, and i live under the idea that it didnt leak for 145000 miles so there IS a way to do it so it doesnt leak for another 145000 ive tried the "search" here but i cant find any thing thats helping me.
