Not sure I follow. What do you mean by "retrofit?". The system currently (pun intended) dumps a full 12v to the plugs for the initial glow, then drops down to 6v for the "afterglow" while the truck is running. And therin lies my conundrum. What's the diff having 6v plugs vs 12v plugs in the system? The plugs really don't care how much voltage they get. They just turn whatever they have into heat. I'm sure there is a reason and I'd like to know what it is.
