Getting the Wheeling Fever
I installed my lockright this past Wednesday and yesterday I noticed gear oil had been seeping down the inside of my tire. Is there some sort of seal there that could have been damaged?

If I need to pull the whole thing out...
How do I get the brake rotor off completely? I need to replace a wheel stud anyway.

How/where does the E-brake cable come loose so that I can get the whole axle slid out?

thanks!

Search and also look down about 3 posts for the exact same answer.

As far as disassembly, find yourself a manual and go to town.

Good Luck

How did you install the lockright w/o taking everything apart?

ANyways the seal is on the end of the axleshaft with the bearing. You'll have to cut the retainer off replace the bearing and the seal. And then reinstall the bearing retainer.

Before doing that, make sure all dirt is removed from the housing and the shaft, clean housing end with brake cleaner and install a very small amount of silicone where the outside of the seal slides into the housing.

Oh

Before doing that check fluid level in rearend, overfull can cause that.
Also pull the rearend vent off the axle and blow thru it,make sure it's not clogged up,a clogged vent will cause rearend to leak.

As for rotors take the caliper off and pull the rotor off,it may be rusted on,though

As for ebrake cable, remove console and loosen the nuts on the cable ends, remove bolt that retains the cable to backing plate and remove from e'brake shoe.
