Getting the Wheeling Fever
OK, what's the secret? I've got it disconnected but can't seem to get it out of the engine bay. It looks like I can drain the radiator and remove the bottom hose but that still doesn't look 100% foolproof.

Help?

Usually easiest to drain and pull the lower hose, especially w/ power steering. Drain into a bucket then refill the rad. after you are done. May be able to squeeze the alt by the lower hose or if no p/s, pull it out the top.

yep, have to pop the lower radiator hose off and slip it out. even then you have to get it lined up just right. learned that one the hard way a few years ago, took me 4 hours! i can yank an alternator in about 20 minutes now.

you can weasel it out the top, you just have to get creative with the power steering lines.

its way easier that way imo

I can't seem to get it around the upper large hose from to the engine block. I might be able to drain the rad only a little bit and then remove that hose.
