I'm assuming you've done the "easy" verification that the distributor is turning and you could see the spark if it was produced...

gonna try a mechanic monday,i'll take in your diagrams and see what we can find......bein off work sooo long is killin me LOL tho i'll see what i can figure out over the weekend........thanks alot for the info......i doubt i'll be back at the ranch in time to work on it tonight but.....should keep me busy tomorrow and sunday......

ummm the rotor spins........... this and iv tried a screwdriver an the end of the coil wire in the coil while crankin..........to name a few.....basically variations on that
i assume thats what you're referring to.......

Yea.. that the dizzy spins when you turn over the truck is the "simple" test.
You can check the signals at the ECU based on my diagram. Let me know if the mechanic doesn't understand. 3.0 ECUs are a dime a dozen, don't spend big bucks.. Make SURE before you buy one!

Do this: Take a spark plug and put it in a plug wire, and hold it against a known good ground and crank the motor. Do it for each plug wire, one by one.
If there is ANY spark, on ANY of the wires, it's not the ignitor.
I was only getting the tiniest of sparks on #4, but the ignitor was fine.

YES SIR lol thanks man i appreciate it.......gotta high school basketball game but...ill get to it later today.......an ill prolly give ya a cal then .............the mechanic said i should get the schematics for the plugs for the ecu and check the ground...................i havent had luck with that n i gotta get off the freakin public pc now............

dang mechanics had it for a week an hasnt looked at it GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
how would ya check the power an ground to the ecu? iv been tryin2 find a copy of the schematic for the ecu plugs but...no luck so far
i have a good job an a house in buffalo wyoming as soon as i get the truck fixed sooo im not so interested in doin it cheap as jus gettin the damn thing on the road again ....thanks for all the help y'all
