It worked great to slam the axles against the top of a curb to get the backing plates and bearings off! I was stumped as to what to use to get the bearing back on and was looking around Menards and found that 1.5" galvinized pipe is actually 1.62" ID and the shaft is 1.57" OD. Got a coupler to put on one end so there's a nice blunt piece against the bearing retainer ring and then a cap for the other end to have somthing good to beat on with a hammer. It should work great and is the perfect size to use! Ill post up how it went when i get to it.
