My original stereo went bad in my '95. I wanted to upgrade to a CD player, but all of the aftermarket units are so flashy and just plain ugly. So, I looked at EBAY and there are tons of OEM CD stereos for sale for the Mitsu. I got one for $35 and it plugged right in to my Montero. No modification needed. You need to look at the shape of the plug on the back of the unit, if it matches the one in your truck it should work. I think mine came from a '01 Lancer. The Ricer's sell them for cheap when they replace them with some fancy unit.

Just thought I would pass on the tip for all you bargain hunters.

yeah in newer cars those aftermarket CD players do look really out of place and ugly. I'm in the process of upgrading my 89 stereo(this is my daily driver) and have one of those "flashy" CD decks but for some reason I think it looks really nice and goes well with my 89's interior. Today I'm installing new speakers so I will post some pictures of everything.

I was listening to a cd this morning on the way to work and realized that all 4 of my speakers are blown. Talk radio sounds ok, but music loud is bad. I thought I was overdriving the amp in the head unit, but no.
