Ok sorry it took so long to reply but here is a update. First of all I came out of work today and my battery was dead I got a jump and it fired right up and stayed running so I no my alternator is fine. On the way home it was doing that staying in passing gear thing. When I got home I put it in park and gave it just a touch of gas to rev it up for a second before I shut it off and it went way up to around 3000 rpms and stayed there for 5 or 6 seconds before it even started to come down and it even went up a little one time and I never even touched the gas. Weird. So I shut it off and tryed to start it again and it just clicked. The battery is shot. I am hoping that will have something to do with it but if not what do you think about the throttle position sensor? I am just trying to come up with something. It can't be anything very big because it starts up and drives fine except for the switching gear thing and it does not do that all the time. The drive home is about 5-20 minutes so I no it would have had enough time to start to charge. Thanks for your help.
