2 places that small vacuum line could go, one is right below the manifold, directly behind where the large vacuum line attaches. It could also go to the little valve thingie that clips onto the side of the carb (can't remember the name now...) should be 4 vacuum lines coming out of it one of 'em goes to the air cleaner I believe. As far as the sight glass, yes, it does need to be to the center of it, if it's far enough down it could cause it to not want to start, and if it's not that that'll give you problems later, it'll run lean. Double check that choke though, mine gave me troubles when I rebuilt it. BTW, Scerb's write up is awesome. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
