You're going to have to switch to electronic flashers for your hazards and turn signals, as the LEDs don't draw enough power to trip the thermal units. The larger LED bulbs are decent, take the new Cadillac taillights for example. As you said, the APC bulbs are a joke, but if you're using the entire surface area of the light you should be in excellent shape.
