Strange, those are riveted in on all the rigs I've worked on, no way to get it apart.


They arent rivets, they are dowel pins. I dont remember how exactly I got mine off but I kinda wish I never did. I think I used a combination of screwdrivers and pliers to pry it off...thinking there would be a ton of carbon buildup like there was on the rest of the valve cover....but there wasnt much. Bent it up a little but its fixable; very thin metal so you can just hammer it back in shape and press it back on those pins. imo-i wouldnt mess with it though
