I have a 2000 Rodeo LSE, 3.2 V6, 4wd, 85k miles, orignal owner, see sig for mods.

Okay Im getting back into wheeling my Rodeo after a couple of offroad mishaps. 3 problems I can't figure out:

1. Rear Defroster: Only the top 1/3 of the window defrosts.

2. When parked on my driveway (inclined, but nothing crazy) The fuel guage drops all the way down and the fuel light flashes. This will happen with the tank over 3/4 full. No fuel leaks out and the guage will return once the truck is level.

3. Overheating: When in traffic regardless of outside temp. During hot weather anytime I drive more than 30 mins regardless of speed. I had my radiator flushed and thermostat checked but the problem still remains.

The Rodeo was just at the dealership and they didn't notice anything w/ their safety inspection.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Ashby
1. You have some broken defroster elements. If your rear window is tinted you may be SOL. If not there is stuff that you essentially paint on over the broken section. You should be a ble to use a DMM to fins where the breaks are (unless you have tint over them).

2. Bad fuel level sending unit. Very common in 2nd Gen Rodeos.

3. Sounds like a bad fan clutch.
