Tomorrow night my buddy and I are changing the clutch in his 22re pickup. It is getting cold and snowy here so we squirreled our way into a heated shop that has hoists (The Luxury)! We will have the truck in the air and unbolting the transmission. My question is can we do the job without a transmission jack? I donÆt think that this shop has a tall enough transmission jack to support it while we move the transmission out of the way. Does anybody have experience related to this predicament that could chime in and help us out? I am not sure about myself but my friend has some pretty big pipes, maybe in a pinch we could do it the olÆ fashioned way with the truck on the shop floor.
