I changed the clutch on my chevy s10 not too long ago and did the whole thing without a jack, transmission can't weigh more than 150 or so. Just put it on my chest and rolled under the truck then used my knees and arms to get it up. Piece o cake!

If you've gotta 2WD I'd say that's the way to go, depending on your physical strength, transmission can't be much bigger than mine. If it's a 4WD, I wouldn't attempt it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
