So, now that I have acess to a mandrel bender and nice aluminum pipe. I'm going to make a custom long tube cold air intake.
But, with the massive AFM vein and it's bulkiness, I won't be able to get a nice straight shot with the tube. I know in OBDII Cars (most) of them have simple 02 sensor style air flow meters that only require a 2 pin plug in.
I noticed inside the AFM there is a tiny flow meter hanging off the roof off of it inside the flapper.
If I gut the circuitry and snag the meter, and adapt it into aluminum pipe w/ the meter in the custom cold air tube, will the truck function ok? Or does the flapper door prove as a "Throttle sensor" to the EFI system?
