also if the flywheel is in good shape get it machined. if not you will reduce the effectiveness and life on the clutch by quite a bit.

cheak for any major stress fractures and warpage. For the fractures it is the depth that matters, alot of the time they can be machined out, along with a slight warp. usually they can be machined .020 - .030 maximum, i belive, but i could be wrong its been a while since i have machined a flywheel

Since the tranny/transfercase is a sealed unit i would recommend putting new fluid in it while it is on the ground, you can get a plastic hand pump for the gear fluid bottles makes life a ton easier. when you do it on the ground make sure the tranny is sitting level both side to side and up and down.
Use a tranny jack or at least two jacks with a wider lift plate and tie down straps, two people also help tons for efficiency and safety cause those suckers are heavy.
