The front driver and passenger power windows on my '02 Trooper are significantly slower than they used to be. I think a lube job would probably help them out. Does anyone know exactly how to lube the slide tracks on these windows? Not sure where to spray the lubricant to make sure I am hitting the track system correctly. Thanks in advance ... Fred.

First thing you need to do is clean them.
I'd suggest using WD-40 with a nozzle and clean the track and the rollers real good. Just use the WD to clean, don't rely on it to lubricate.
Then apply a very light amount of white lithium to the rollers, but don't squirt down the track. You want to use as little lubricant as possible (just enough to get the job done). Too much, and it will collect dirt and grime and could be potentially worse than it is now. The window lift is a scissor style lift, so give the pivot point in the center a little bit of white lithium as well. I prefer to use the white lithium grease in a aerosol can... I believe the stuff I use is made by CRC.

Use silicone spray lube on the rubber stuff. NOT SILICONE GREASE!!! Let it dry completely and re-apply. It may take a number of applications to get the windows really going again.

Thanks guys. Last question: Do I have to take the inner door skin off to do this or can I apply the lube with the doorsking intact? Thanks again ... Fred.

You'll need to take the inner door panel off.
Between the door panel and the door is a plastic moisture barrier also. You can see where the access holes in the door are through the vapor barrier. Don't remove the vapor barrier, just make a hole in it big enough where you can get in and work around. When finished, take some packing tape and tape the hole back up... this will help prevent water from coming in contact with the inner door panel It's not perfectly water tight, but you want it to seal up as good as you can.
