Body Damage is Cool

My 98 amigo has a brown box behind the dash visible when you remove the glovebox. The box says ALARM. It is to the right of the pass. airbag. This truck is the S model. Does this mean the truck has an alarm system for the ignition? Or is it a case of Isuzu installing stuff that was not used by all models? It obviously cannot connect to the door locks as they are manual.
