Honestly Scerb, this is where I have to disagree with you.

On the choke housing there is a notch, and on the top mount point on the carb closest to the engine there is a protrusion that is supposed to catch that notch to make sure they choke housing only goes on one way. Every time I tried adjusting mine before, I'd either get it cold starting great, but not engaging on anything other than cold starts (loose), or warm starting great, but way too tight on cold starts (tight). Only when the notch and bump align (factory setting) have I gotten any sort of satisfactory results. On my rebuilt carb, the bump was nearly gone, and I can see how it would be easy to overlook, but I'm pretty sure the factory rivets it on because it's only supposed to go on one way. If I still had my parts carb around, I'd take pictures.

That's just what my experience has been, though.
