Do you happen to have a site????

Shipping may be a problem for you, but the guy on ebay that is selling them seems to be quite fair and ships USA very quickly. The fan seems to run really well and not for very long. 16" is a perfect fit inside the sportage shroud. Hope you can get one closer to home. You may check out the manufacturers site and see if they have a distribuitor in your area.
Good Luck!

How did you attach the fan to the fan shroud? and what temp does your fan kick on at?

Two things...
My consern is if ( and as you say it is) one good fan like this, can work for both fans at high temperatures with the A/C on stuck in traffik at midday in a heatwave <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

the second thing is that if it does you can also do the follwing: reverse the sequence of the radiators, meaning bring the engine radiator at the front and the A/C one second, as all cars with electric fans have...better engine cooling....

A variation of the above could be ( Garry, for you:D <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) that if the fan is thin enough you only take the A/C radiator from the front, put it just after the engine rad, then the fan...
That - Garry <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />- will leave you even more space <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Unfortunately they put the A/C cooler in front of the radiator for a reason.

To get the best efficiency out of it it must be in a continuous stream of cold air (remember the A/C is a heat pump, all it does is move heat energy from one place to another, and conversely "cold" energy from one place to anther to better visualise the concept). By putting the A/C radiator behind the coolant radiator you would be reducing the temperature difference that the A/C requires (would only get as cold as the backside of the coolant radiator, instead of the relatively cooler stream of air in front of the vehicle). Short story, your A/C would be a very effective heater.

Anyone seriously considering moving the A/C radiator, don't. I can guarantee that you will be bitterly disappointed.

The engine would be happy..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Gary (not to argue - just disscusion ok?) most of the cars HAVE the ac radiator after the engine one.....
Yes in that case it might be bigger.... Hmmmmmmmm

I made "L" brackets and mounted the fan inside the shroud making sure it was spaced close but not touching the radiator.

When you purchased the fan off Ebay did it come with everything, or did you have to source the controller separate?

How much of a difference do you feel in the performance of the engine with the clutch fan removed?

Is there a manual over ride in the case of a water crossing?

airdale, i have a HUGE favour to ask you... well, two maybe. numero uno: Can you measure how far your fan sticks out past the shroud? my SOHC is different apparently and the stock fan bolts directly to the waterpump which cannot be removed to make more space...

second: if its so big that a procomp wont fit... how much did you want for your stock fan?

I just spend about two hours trying to get a geo metro fan in there... not working so well. VERY tight fit even with out the stock shroud. engine sure runs smooth and quite though without the stock fan in there!
