One thing that puzzels me... ( and I am in a "thinking loud" mode <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />) is as I said in the first place the big electrik cosumption of the big fan running all the time when the A/C is on...
I syspect but couldnot find any information on the speks of the original A/C fan....

If the altenator can(????) manage it together with some lights a hot summer night stuck in traffik, then ok....
Because the bigg fan runs all thetime instead of the small one

I just tested the OEM fan and it draws 5.5 amps at 13.9 vdc. The OEM fan only covers about half of the condenser so is marginally effective. The Procomp fan draws about 10 amps and when mounted in the shroud it covers the entire radiator and the OEM fan blocks air flow when it is not running.

Remember the KISS principle, Keep it Simple. If hardware serves no purpose you are better off without it on the machine.

So
A. you have 10 amps all the time in the above example..
B. The 10 amps are there as long as you have the a/c on regardless if the engine is cold enough say driving at a highway...
C. Yoy have the motor radiator "blocking" the flow, also the "side casualties" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> since there is free area to suck air between the two radiators instead "forsing" the air to come from the front cooling the a/c radiator...

(As I said.. I like your idea of removing the a/c fan so much and I want to make it "bullet proof")

I still don't think that the AC will blow quite as cold with just the 1 fan, as it would with the 2 fans, both the electric puller behind radiator, and the pusher on the condenser. BUT I could be wrong. Also we have 120 degree F and higher summers here so most people don't have to worry as much as I do smile

I think it will work good though, if it makes you feel better, I have seen other cars that have this same setup from the factory: 1 big electric fan as a puller behind radiator, and no fan on the AC condenser. So it's fine I'm sure.

If the A/C is not turned on the fan will run at 50% or 100% if the engine is above 160 deg F or 200 deg F.

In the OEM system the electric fan runs full speed when the A/C is turned on.

My fan and controller were installed when we were still having very warm weather and yes the A/C blows colder with the single fan. You don"t improve air flow much by having the small fan pushing through half the radiator and the large fan pulling through the whole radiator.

not in my setup, I have it indipendant.... I work either off or 100% that is why I like the Spal thing and avoid the momentary drop in RPMs when the fan starts...

Are you totally sure about that?

Cuz I got a Procomp fan that says it flows 2750 CFM on High. Do you think with this fan on High, my AC would work better after removing the small fan?

OEM A/C fan would be lucky to see about 400-500 cfm (most high qual ones in that size are about 600 cfm). If you assume the A/C takes up about 1/4 of the coolant radiator area then the 2750 cfm should give about 700 cfm or so through the A/C radiator.
