Roll Me Over
The black one in my gallery of other-worldly Mitsu's was for sale a few years back in Canada if I remember correctly...

Body Damage is Cool
some of them came with the ol' mighty 2.6 with dual sidedraft carbs factory which I thought was pretty damn cool. I am a 2.6 lover so I am intrigued with that kinda stuff.

I have NEVER seen one of these in Canada - Mitsu did not even sell directly in Canada until recently as far as I know.

It was imported (used) from Japan. I pulled those pics off of Ebay.

That brown and white wagon was in OR or WA.

if you go to the USS auto auction site you can see them all the time. I really like them, but from what I understand the 4 speed tranny is not the best. The upside is, they are readily adaptable to the T5 and NP3550 with very little mods. If your really ambitious just buy the motor and computer, and build a jeep from scratch ala cart with all the aftermarket parts you can buy. Still cheaper then new, and it will be a lhd when all is said and done.

always working

These were (and might still be) made in the Phillipene's. We have a number of these imported into NZ. Pretty good, and virtually identical to the Jeep, but with different (Mitsi) running gear. Very modifiable!!

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone know if the Jeep hardtops fit these? Or do they make an aftermarket hardtop for them? I have looked at dozens of these and thought about picking one up, but the rag-top doesn't appeal in this weather and I have never seen one selling with a hardtop.

They were never made with hard tops, I saw a post a long time ago on a different forum that Luxury Imports was stocking or making hard topd for them, it was a while ago so I don't remember details. Start there.
