Black Magic fan here....About 8 years now. I replaced the mechanical thermostat on it when it failed with an electronic one (Hayden) for about $50. Works better and it's easier to adjust. I also added an LED light on the dash so I can see when it's on or off. I have it adjusted so it stays off if going over 40mph or so (unless the A/C is on). I think the electric fans takes a load off the water pump bracket and will enable it to last longer.
