It would be a very good idea to check them once the engine has some miles on it, and as long as you're checking them, check them in order, on a cold engine. That's all re-torquing means. It's very common to find one or two that have loosened a little bit -- I did when I checked my engine at 500 miles, and I know we put my motor together with great care. I checked mine again at the 2k mile mark and they hadn't moved, so yeah, I think a 500 mile checkup is a good idea.
