I don't want to fix the abs. It is not broken. I don't like the pulsing action and just don't want to use the abs. I also don't want to stare at the glowing light either. In the dirt, particularly on downhill situations, the abs reduces or eliminates the braking "feel", making it difficult to control the vehicle. I like the idea of finding the circuit it is on and disabling it at that point. I don't think dismantling the dash assembly just to turn off a lamp is worth the effort.

I too find threshold braking far superior to the ABS system on my 2000 Rodeo. Since I am the primary driver to this vehicle its not much of an issue and in the event someone else needs to drive it (usualy for only a few miles) I make sure they are aware of it).

The light on mine has been on for the past 6 years. I also have the ISC warning light on too. Stuff like that it easy for me to ignore.
