I dunno. I noticed the reman I bought from Toyota seemed less powerful as well. Works ok though.

I know from over on the T100 forum that the T100's came with 1.2, 1.4, and 1.8kw starters, FWIW, and its pretty tough to tell which one you have unless you compare part numbers.
