Is it possible the clutch is worn out already?

Sure it is. It's not common for a clutch to fail that quickly, but it's possible. You seem to have eliminated every other possibility for your symptoms (IE pushing the pedal to the floor moves the slave cylinder as far as would be expected) so the only thing left is a failed clutch. There is no way to find out more without dropping the tranny.

You will probably find either a totally failed pilot bearing or a pressure plate spring that got really hot, maybe due to a failed throwout bearing.

How hard you run your rig can be a factor, but sometimes these things just happen....

If the pressure plate is getting weak, you can "fix" it by giving the clutch more throw, but it is only a temporary fix. As the pressure plate weakens further, you will only be able to adjust so far until you run out of adjustment. So if you can get it to work by just adjusting the pedal and it starts to eventually get worse again, you'll know what the problem is.

Well, if it stops snowing here and a tow truck can get here, it's going into the shop. Any suggestions on brand etc if I have to replace the whole clutch. Not too keen on Centerforce again.
Strange that there was no slippage etc at all before. Maybe just needs a new bearing etc???
Thanks for the help guys

Hard to tell where the fault is until it's opened up. I've never used Centerforce, but they are one of the top names. Who installed the clutch? Did they replace *everything* that should be replaced when doing a clutch?....Are you *sure*?

If not, might be able to get some of this reimbursed.

Well, turns out that it was a broken clutch fork. I decided to put in a new clutch anyway, since its pretty much the same amount of labour.
Then I get a call from the shop saying that the flywheel has heat cracks that can't been machined out (they tried), and they recommend a new one. Another $480 incl tax if I buy it myself from Toyota (appears nobody else makes this part) and they can't get it here until after the weekend.

This sucks!

Marlin has them for $75.00, not new but re-surfaced!!!!!

On the other hand, Centerforce makes a heavier one, which gives you more low-end torque

Thanks for the info, although the Marlin website says it only has flywheels for 4cyl applications. Strange?
