I am having trouble understanding the fsm. It seems simple enough but the picture is still a bit fuzzy. If there is a pic for the routing somewhere for the 3vze, I think it would help me. I am chasing down a rough idle like so many others, and I just want to completely rule out the vacuum routing.

We have a '93 FSM sticky'd here at the top you can use.
Also pull off your air tube and see if your throttle body is gunked up. (Check our maintenance section in the 'Toyota Section' above)

I've read the fsm, but it seems a little vague to me. I'm sure that it is right on it just seems a bit difficult to make out exactly where to place each hose. I guess I'll try to make sense of it in the morning. thx

I find that it works best to read the various engine sections and find out what each line is for and what it should connect to rather than go by a picture or drawing. It takes a little studying of the FSM but once you get the various lines scoped out, it is very easy to hook them up correctly. I also put little adhesive labels on my lines to help identify them.
