I put one of the AMC heads from www.aluminumheads.com (The Portland, OR outfit) on my 88 several years ago. I can vouch for how good they are and considering they are compete with valves & springs are a very good deal. It was an easy fix and I have had no problems at all. I would not use a factory Isuzu head as they are prone to cracks. Jim

Thanks for the info, but I won't be getting that trooper unless something miraculous happens. Although I would really love to have a vehicle to work on if you know what I mean.
