I recently replaced a cracked head on my 2.6 Trooper. I bought an AMC head from
Aluminum Head Rebuilders
in Portland. Its a brand new head, not a rebuilt one.

The cost was $500, +/-, with a $95 core charge. It seems like a good unit so far. It started right up, no problem, when I had it all back together. I'm still working on the smog stuff.
