That is not a bad idea.

Another idea is to just pass on this one. There will always be other vehicles. For the $800-1000 this one is going to cost you to get on the road, you might find one for that amount that does not need a bunch of work and might even have a 5-speed in it (from your other post).

Isuzu made a lot of Troopers. I promise this is not the last one.
