We could have never imagined having to announce something like this, but our good friend Phil Roemer passed away Friday evening.

Phil had an accident in his home Monday evening that left him in a coma. He was on life support this week, and peacefully passed Friday evening with his family at his side.

Above all, Phil was a great friend to us and to many of you. He will truly be missed.

We are very sad to say that Phil passed away last night. It was very peaceful.

Funeral Arrangements have been made. They will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel. If you need directions you can call 609-883-1400.

I am shocked.
I am trying to not choke and hold back the tears as I type this.

Phil has helped me out in the past several times with HTML stuff.

I don't know what else to say, I am truly shocked and will miss his emails very much.

I have a huge empty feeling in my stomach right now. I can't belive what I just read. Phil was a GREAT GUY and I've talked with him on and off the forum ever since I got my truck 4 years ago. I've made some really great friends on this fourm, and he was one of them.

I will surely miss him.

My goodness! This is just a genuine shock to me. Although I had never met Phil, he was the first to really welcome me into this forum when I bought my 4Runner and we had talked a lot via e-mail. He was a wealth of information and probably my main motivation for my 4Runner's modifications.

I will miss Phil's advice, humor, and general presence here on this forum.

I will be making a donation in his name and I think it would be nice if we could organize some sort of 4Runner forum contribution.

I feel like crap! I never met Phil, but we had talked many times about meeting since his sister lives near me. Now I will never get the chance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />

Although I did not know him like many of you did, he and I exchanged a couple emails and he was very helpful. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

Having talked with him over emails and he practically giving me some of his used parts, I feel very sorry for his family. He was a great guy to deal with! He and his family will be in my prayers. Chris

I am very saddened to hear of this.. I feel like I got to know Phil working with him as a co-moderator, author, and in just day to day conversations...

It a reminder to us all, how quickly our life or someone near us can suddenly be gone.

I am so sad to hear of our loss. I only just met Phil as he posted some photos for me. I am so very sad that i didnt get to know him better.

Although I don't know Phil personally, it makes me very, very sad to read this.
