I have a friend who owns a small town salvage yard and wants to move up a few decades in how he manages his yard. I am looking for some software for parts interchange between models and years of vehicles. He has mostly older chevs and fords but looking for software for pretty much everything. I did a quick search on the net but all I could find are inventory and accounting style software which isn't really what I am after. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to pick up such a thing?

I have no idea how one joins, but http://www.car-part.com/ is an online database for finding junkyard parts that seems to have the interchangeability stuff already built in. I've only used it a few times, but it seems fairly accurate.
