I'm extremely shocked and sad to hear about this. We had exchanged many e-mails as far back as 1999.

Phil and I had traded many o' emails since 99 when I got my first 4runner. While I didn't consider us close friends, he was one of those guys who you hoped to meet if you were out in his area.

I have not posted here in a long time and Phil was actually kind enough to say "Hey, where are you?" In the last year or so, we'd talk about the boards, people, forum issues, etc. He always encouraged me to come back and become an active member. In short, he was a person who I respected for his kindness.

I am at a loss right now. Phil my friend, I have tears in my eyes---I will miss you but I am thankful that I got to know you here on earth.
