AVGJOE: I like the look of your lift, and am thinking about doing the same to my truck.

For what it's worth I couldn't help but notice that your Taco has the same problem I experienced -- the TRD Fender Flares eventually turn light gray due to sun fading (mine were almost white). I suspect that almost everyone eventually will have this problem (funny the pads on the rear bumper don't fade, but the flares do...?!).

Nothing I tried on my Taco would keep the flares looking black for more than a few days until I ran across a product called "Forever Black." It comes in an applicator bottle not unlike liquid shoe polish, and is a ***** to get on the flares in an even coat (it dries real fast if you're working in the sun), but once on, will make your flares look better than they did new as far as color -- they will look the color of the end of your bumper.

I guess you could take them off and paint them, or have them painted, but not worth the hassle compared to a $15 Forever Black kit and a couple of hours.

I checked with the stealer, and a new set of flares will run about $800.00 list -- I would have left them white before laying out that much green. I've had mine out in the sun for several months now, and multiple washings, and they still look great.
