It's an 86 and shows it's age. The PO told me he rolled it over into a large snow pile puting some dents in the roof, hood, and passenger quarter pannel. It also broke the mirror (love the replacement) and power antenae.
Other than some rust around the wheel openings, some dents, worn driver's seat and arm rest it's pretty clean.
The motor has a knock when it's started cold but goes away as it warms up. Connecting rod maybe?
This is my first Turbo 4Runner (3rd RTE) and i'm pretty stoked about it. I'll try to post pics as I fix it up.
What do yall think about it?

Thanks for the feed back all , and yes that boost gauge is kinda gheto.

What do yinz think about the life expectancy of these auto transmissions? Do they take the miles/abuse well?
This is my first Yota automatic so I have no idea.
The fluid is a nice red color. Not gray or black like the fluid in my mom's Cavalier.

Another question. Other than the *TURBO* embroiderded in the seat, were these seats in other SR5 Runners or trucks?
I'll bet i'm not going to find OE seats that easy or in good shape, so i'm thinking maybe I could find one thats simmalar.

I had an 87 turbo 4Runner. That digital dash sucks on real sunny days. My 4Runner had a bad turbo and was a dog. I swapped out the turbo for a rebuilt one and I ported the manifold and turbo exhaust housing and that truck was a blast to drive! It was definitely quicker than any V6 4Runner I've had so I think the rebuilt turbo and porting work had it kicking out over 150 hp. But gas mileage kind of sucked because it was always boosting.

Very cool. Fix it up! And put it away in winter (get a chevy for the salty drivin ). Dig those seats. Anybody know if you can get factory original covers for them? MR2's and Celicas have great seats that nearly bolt right in.-- Matt
