I did my timing belt yesterday, and I have a bracket left over. I cant figure out where it goes? I know it is near the top of the engine, but I just cant figure it out. It does not show up in any of the manuals I have. It has a little lifing eye on it.

So, if anyone has a photo of the top/front of the engine I would appreciate it.

Having left over parts at the end of a job like this is kind of embarasing.

It runs nice and quiet now BTW.

On sohc 12v engines, it goes on the Pside exhaust mani, on the back two mani bolts. Bolt on base is C shaped?

It went on the side/bottom of the power steering pump. Seems a bit redundant, although it did eliminate a power steering belt screech. So, I guess it is necessary after all.
