So I managed to find some used old style long-fields. When I assembled my solid front I was unaware the the axle shafts had to be mar-tacked so I just threw in new retainer clips. I was informed that they should be mar-tacked after I had finished the axle... D'oh! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> The snap ring supposedly can break and get caught up in the bearings.

Pro's and Con's! I really don't want to disassemble my axle again, but I don't want to blow up a birf either. Any wisdom to be shared? Experience with this?
