INSTALL THE NEW PILOT BEARING, AND THEN USE THE ALIGNMENT TOOL TO CENTER THE CLUTCH DISC ,BEING CAREFULL TO GET THE CLUTCH DISC IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION . THE RAISED PORTION OF THE DISC GOES TOWARD THE TRANS FLATS CENTER SIDE GOES TOWARD THE ENG,
SLIDE THE PP OVER THE PILOT TOOL AND INSTALL THE SIX MOUNTING BOLTS, TORQUE THEM IN A CRISSCROSS PATTERN ,,DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM OVER 18 FT LBS, WITH A NEW THROWOUT BEARING ASSY INSTALLED ON THE THROWOUT FORK , NOW THE FUN BEGINS, TO INSTALL THE TRANS START WITH THE TAIL UP AND OVER THE CROSSMEMBER , ACTUALLY TO MAKE THIS EASIER TO BALANCE REMOVE THE FRT DRIVE ASSY FROM THE TRANS FER CASE , BEING CAREFULL NOT TO LOOSE THE SPRING AND BALL BEARING THAT IS HELD IN PLACE BY THE EDGE OF THE FRT DRIVE ASSY ITSELF , IT MAKES IT A LOT LIGHTER ALLSO, NOW AS YOU MOVE THE TRANS UP AND BACK A LITTLE AT A TIME TAIL FIRST, THE FRT WILL BARELY CLEAR THE PP BUT IT WILL CLEAR ,ONCE IT IS UP AND CLOSE TO LEVEL START TO SLIDE IT INTO THE CLUTCH DISC , YOU MAY HAVE TO ROTATE IT BACK AND FORTH A LITTLE BIT UNTILL THE INPUT SHAFT DROPS IN, THEN JUST PUSH THE TRANS STRAIGHT AGAINST THE BACK OF THE ENG , JUST DONT LET THE TRANS HANG DOWN WHILE HANGING IN THE CLUTCH DISC, OR YOU CAN BEND THE CLUTCH DISC CENTER DRIVE AND IT WILL CHATTER LIKE CRAZY , NOW BOLT EVERYTHING BACK UP , CENTER THE SHIFT ARMS IN THE TRANS AND INSTALL THE SHIFT LEVER AND THEN INSTALL THE FRT DRIVE ASSY, WATCH FOR THE POSITION OF THE FRT DRIVE SHIFT FORKS , AND MOST IMPORTANT DONT FORGET THE SPRING THAT GOES ON TOP OF THE SHIFTER ASSY FOR THE 4WD LEVER ,IT HOOKS OVER TO THE SHIFT TOWER AND GOES AROUND THE 4WD LEVER OR IT WILL NOT STAY IN 4WD.
