Its not a big deal to seperate the tranny and transfer case.All you do is unbolt the bolts holding the transfer case on , can't remember if its 5 or 6 of them 14MM , and unplug the 2 plugs on the transfer case and undo the speedo cable.Of course this is assuming you allready pulled your drive shafts off too <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />I didn't even drain the transfer case , I just plugged the shifter hole(don't forget to take that off too) with a rag and brought it straight down.After that , unbolt your tranny and unhook everything off it and your good to go.You can just slide the tranny back too if you have a jack if your just fixing a flex plate , no point in removing it fully , just enough to get in there and change it.
