Oh ya, that part! Wow, that was fun to say the least. I now have headers so I do not have to worry anymore but for you sir. I stripped every bolt trying to get those da$# things off the first time. I knew I was getting a knew exhaust so I cut the down pipe and ripped the passenger side head off with the crossover still attatched. A little force was used but low and behold there was the pistons finally staring me in the face. If I had to do it again with the crossover and such, and everything was just breaking like it did, I would cut the down pipe off low enough to take to an exhaust shop afterwards to be welded together. I'm thinking you should be able to get the crossover unbolted at the drivers side, and it is not that heavy to just take it off w/ the passenger side head. Saves time by not having to wrench in tight spaces even more to get the crossover completely off. Hope this helps, keep posting, I feel your pain....
