I am getting a solid 19 MPG with a 50% city 50% highway driving mix on 31 x 10.5 x R15 Bridgestone Duelers that are running on the wear limit bars and cupped badly, etc. Next Wednesday I will install a set of Michelin LTX M/S 32 x 11.5 x R15. I think I may actually see a milage improvement with the slightly larger tire. The 3.4 has great torque and the new tire is a better road tire. I know it is not an impressive choice for hard core offroaders here.

I am finding that I can drive the 4Runner around town using only 2nd and 5th gear very comfortably. The engine has such good torque. Start in 2nd and at about 20 mph shift to 5th.

Turbocharger and E-locker still on the list for completion this year. hehehehehe I am learning still on the turbo before I order anything. I will buy all the e-locker stuff from Inchworm, diff, control harness, power harness, gasket, etc. Looks like it will run in the area of $1200.00. It can be done cheaper, but I am going this route. Will put these two mods in their own threads when it is time.
