I ran Elvis last time with the guys. Night Run, Got to use my cheap rock lights. (gotta keep wiping mud off them though). Ended up busting 2 of the 4 on Firebird. Glad they're cheap! $18 at Napa got me 2 new replacements.

Wish I could say that I was doing something cool, rather than just crusing down I-40 just west of Little Rock.

My 1982 hilux is pretty close to hitting the 260k mile mark... and still going pretty strong for it's age. I had to convert the odometer reading from km so you'd understand smile

That's quite a good distance from home (Durham) though.

Did you ever get the high-idle worked out?

Just passed your place like 2 hrs ago.

Naw, haven't had time to figure it out yet (read: find someone who can figure it out). Did replace the idler arm, which was good since the steering was about to come apart and kill me.

Wasn't planning on driving any long distances just yet, but a friend I grew up with - known him since kindergarden - passed away 5 days before xmas

airfare way too expensive and with the mess in Denver, flying wasn't an option.

I found out on the 23rd
fortunately had replaced the idler arm on the 22nd
Got in the car on the 24th
arrived in Tulsa 25th (and rolled 200k)
wake on the 26th
funeral on the 27th
back in the truck on the 28th.
home now.

Sucked...

Glad you replaced that idler arm too. That was kinda scary!

Almost did call you, but I was pretty tired and just ready to get home. Install the gauge cluster?
