I was told I would get the parts probably Thrusday, and I figured that would be fine as I really only have one day on the weekends to work on stuff due to school and work. Friday evening rolls around, no parts. 1300 bucks and 2 good build weekends later, I still have a bunch of useless aluminum. I know if someone dropped 1300 bucks at my store and I messed up the order, I would at the very least 3 day air the missing parts. I mean I am only 22 years old guys, $1300 dollars is the largest purchase I have ever made. So basically, Marlin Crawler has single handly pushed my finish date back by about a week. Yeah, I am pissed.

On the plus side, everyone pretty much knows that marlin's customer service is piss poor, I knew that going into my purchase because I had read it time and time again on Pirate. The parts themselves however (at least all the ones i have right now) are of the highest of quality, and from what I have read, that is a constant at Marlin Crawler. These parts are so beautiful, it is almost a shame to hide them under my truck. I swear I spent an hour after unpacking them just gazing at them in awe over the unbelievable machining work. I would order from them again as I believe them to have the best crawler parts, and quality is more important to me than their customer service, which clearly blows.

Well after sleeping in today, I am off to throw in the drag link, and probably move the front axle back an inch or so as the tie rod is creaping up on my pitman arm and I want to have plenty of room. Peace out...

Dave

the other 4Runner I was driving used to be my older brother's car until he took off to New York after college. We keep it as the "Family Car" and my dad would drive it when he needed an SUV. The plan all along was to hand it down to my little brother as the truck was completely paid for and in good working order with few miles (52K or so on a 96) but he wasn't 16 and didn't have a license yet. He got his license in November I think, but obviously I didn't have much simpathy for him having his car as I sure as hell didn't get a car right when I got my license. Anyhoo, I gave the truck back to him a little more than a week ago, and I am currently pimping a 95 Mercury Grand Marquis around the burg. It is my grand father's and has only 32k on the clock. He is in Florida right now and they have my grandmothers car down there.

I have a crappy job that I hold down to give me truck money, going out money and to help pay my rent and other living expenses (you get the idea that my money is spread pretty thin? It is...). I work in the university bookstore here in the computer department. This is my third job ever, my second longest, and the lowest paying. I like my job but that is all I like about my current working situation, the pay sucks and the management there is awful...

That answer the question?

Man Dave, I used to work there. Used to, haha. Man, it does suck there. Rush was the worst, long hours, thousands of dumb people milling around, and the same pay! -PhattieD

I think it was inventory. Been through many rushes, only one inventory. Not as long hours, but the work is mind numbing.

So what did you do at the bookstore? And who did you work with? Throw me an IM...
